What can you do with Group(shared) mailbox
Collaborative Group Inbox
Step 1 - Create a Group & Add members.
Step 2 - Turn on Collaborative Inbox features
After you create a group, you can set it as a Collaborative Inbox or a shared inbox where you will get all messages that are being sent to the group email id.
Open Google Groups and Click the name of a group.
On the left, click Group settings.
Under Enable additional Google Groups features, select Collaborative Inbox.
Wait a few minutes for your new group to become active before sending a message to it.
Members of the Collaborative Inbox who have the correct permissions can assign conversations to each other for tracking.
For example, you could create a group for your Admin support or HR support team with the address mexico.hr@Tearfund.org. Then, add your admin staff as group members and allow people outside of your organization to send messages to the group.
When your admin staff gets a message, they can:
Assign responsibility for conversations to group members.
Set a resolved status for conversations: complete, duplicate, or no action needed
Search for conversations according to resolution status or assignee
Label or Star conversations.
