Google Currents

Tearfund's internal social media platform

Edit your Currents profile

Currents has replaced Google+ for G Suite, and has a new look, feel, and set of features.

All of your Tearfund's existing Google+ pages and content has automatically transferred to Currents. You should be seeing a change when you visit your Google+ pages.

Currents is designed to connect your organisation around shared interests, helping you collaborate with team members. Trade insights with communities, poll your organisation, share posts, and more. You can also create an online community where you can safely share team updates, new ideas, and common interests in real time.

You can learn more about current here in this training and help page.

You can post updates, for example knowledge sharing, praising good work, successes, failures, learning. This can be in any of the Tearfund core languages.

Before you begin, please take a look at this short tutorial on How to use Google currents .

Remember to use #tags and @mentions for example #high5 to +Adam Harding Willis for this great tutorial video. This will ensure your posts are seen by a wide audience. You can only @ someone once they have joined Currents, so you may want to encourage your colleagues to join so they can benefit from your praise!

If you have any questions, please add a comment or email internalcomms@tearfund.org.
